There is always a story with each book you come across. With me it requires a certain amount of dedication when this is not about the entertainment books, but about the books with the knowledge. The book Never Split the Difference by Chris Voss was not an exception.

The original idea to read about negotiation techniques came to me from reading some articles on the . As an outcome of that reading I ordered 2 books (one never came) and tried to work on the one which has arrived. The book has been too academic for and drove me to sleep, as usual. But fortunately that was the time I was recommend a book by my manager at that time and it was the book.

I read the book, it sounded interesting, but still too good to be true. So I came across a friend, who also read the book and she was quite clear that techniques, presented in the book were working. So I gave it a try, when the opportunity presented itself. And it did work and delivered the outcome I was looking for, even that I had to wait for it for quite long (and I did have that time).

So I definitely recommend this book, I have already presented it to a number of people around me and most find it useful. The name of this blog post Black Swan comes from them book, read it if you do not know the meaning of it. Feel free to reach out if you want to discuss your own experience.
