I am passionate Runner, for the last 7.5 years. I actually was a runner much earlier, always enjoyed long-distance runs during my school time. But when I rediscovered running at a much senior age I became obsessed with it. I even said once that the time, when I am all alone on the run by myself is probably the best time I can have. Because everything is under my control and it is only up to me if I enjoy it.
Reading about running has also been a passion. But those running books are typically written by runners, coaches and people close to sport. I was trully amazed when I found out that there is a book about running, written by the internationally acclaimed writer Haruki Murakami. The book is called WHAT I TALK ABOUT WHEN I TALK ABOUT RUNNING.
Some of the philosophical concepts in the book are very close to myself. I also once again reassured myself in my desire to once compete in Tokyo Marathon, as it looks like running in Japan is different from running elsewhere, which is the same for a lot of others things in Japan as well.
I do recommend the book if you are new to running and looking for an inspiration. But also if you are already an experienced runners and want to take a different look at your jorney and what you have achieved so far for yourself and probably for people around you.
