There was no way I was going to bypass this book. I was told not to read it by many people. I was told what is in it by even more people. And it was screaming from all outlets at me. Of course I picked it up.
But there was another reason. I have come across number of people, who told me very similar (negative) things about this book, even that they did not know each other. So I sensed there was something in the air, so I needed to see for myself.
As a fan of writing and self-expression, I was intrigued to pick up “Spare” by Prince Harry. The book provides a unique and personal perspective on the life of Prince Harry and the events that have shaped him as a person and a public figure.
One of the things that I appreciated about “Spare” is how candid Prince Harry is in sharing his thoughts and experiences. At the same time I could not get rid of the feeling that the most of events, described in the book, can actually happen in the ordinary family. And in some cases can also lead to dramatic outcomes. However it is the magnifying glass of the public attention and especially of the press, which is making the story of “Spare” both crazy and exiting to read.
